UPJ Organizational Responsibility Policy
This Policy is enacted by the UPJ Student Senate in the
event of a Student Organization failing to comply with organizational
responsibilities to the Office of Student Life, including organizational
reports, term summary reports, service projects, and special events. The Policy
is in effect for one academic year (beginning of Fall semester to end of Spring
semester) and at the start of every new academic year all organizations begin
with zero violations.
1. In the event that at any time an organization misses a
required obligation to the Student Life Office, that organization will
immediately receive a notice of the violation via e-mail and phone from the
University Relations Committee of the Student Senate. In addition, the
following measure will be taken:
- Loss of privileges to apply for emergency allocations
and budget modifications for one month.
2. A second violation will result in:
- Loss of privileges to apply for emergency allocations
and budget modifications for another month.
- A 10% deduction from an account in the organization’s
current budget to be determined by the Allocations Committee. If the current
budget is exhausted, then the deduction will apply to the organization’s
budget for the next academic year.
3. A third violation will result in:
- Loss of privileges to apply for emergency allocations
and budget modifications for another month.
- An additional 10% deduction from an account in the
organization’s current budget to be determined by the Allocations Committee.
If the current budget is exhausted, then the deduction will apply to the
organization’s budget for the next academic year.
4. A fourth violation will result in:
- Loss of privileges to apply for emergency allocations
and budget modifications for another month.
- An additional 15% deduction from an account in the
organization’s current budget to be determined by the Allocations Committee.
If the current budget is exhausted, then the deduction will apply to the
organization’s budget for the next academic year.
5. A fifth violation will result in:
- A motion being made and a vote taken at the next Student
Senate meeting to deactivate the organization. This will result in a loss of
all access to the SAF and no official recognition of the organization by the
University.
